Dr. Loria Guiatas joined Highland Park Dental in 2010. A Fort Worth native, she graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2000. While attending high school and college, Dr. Guiatas worked part-time in a pediatric dental office, confirming to herself that she indeed wanted to pursue a career in pediatric dentistry.
In 2004, Dr. Guiatas graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. During dental school, she was on the Dean’s Honor List for each of her four collegiate years. She was an elected member of the Odontological Honor Society, participated in the Pediatric Dentistry Departmental Summer Honors Program and received academic scholarships. She was a member of the Dallas County Dental Society, Texas Association of Women Dentists, Student Council and the Student Research Group. She presented her research at the American Association of Dental Research in 2002 and 2003. Her findings have been published in several journals.
Following dental school, Dr. Guiatas was accepted for specialty training at the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. This two-year program enabled her to pursue her interest in pediatric dentistry. She gained valuable experience and knowledge in oral/conscious sedation, pediatric dental trauma and special-needs dentistry. She was also a member of the cleft palate team at John Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Guiatas is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Guiatas enjoys spending time with family, traveling and exercising. She is an active member of the Junior League of Dallas.
